1979 - 2019: 40 Years Writing

I firmly believe that literature  can exist only if it is precisely an open proposal to investigate the truth.

And I’d like to add: and to search for beauty.

“We’ll spend this winter together!” said the fir

Experct

Every day, the bright sun walked its course in clear skies meeting only the tiniest wisps of cloud on its way

The calm, warm sea stretched into sandy beaches, where children rolled and played…

The night was fragrant with jasmine, basil and carnation…

But…

The first cyclamens had sprung on mountain sides…

The whites and yellows of chrysanthemums had burst in the gardens...

The mountain tops shivered in the nightly breeze…

Indeed, it was the end of summer. Autumn had arrived…

And the birds, felt on their wings the chill of winter coming to this land.

And said the birds that the time had come to embark on their long journey to the south… To chase the summer, dive into the long, hot days, find their old nests in lands untouched by white snow.

And so they did. As the north wind was rising behind the mountains, as storm clouds were gathering in the sky, the birds opened their wings.

And flew away. But not all of them…

For some couldn’t; they were weak after months of merciless hunting, their wings pierced through by lead bullets. How could they bear to fly across the sea?

Others were lulled by the soft song of the crystal stream and forgot that time had gone by; how could they bear to start on their journey alone, without friends and companions?

Others misread the marks of the changing season and thought the cold was a long way still; maybe they could wait one day, just one more day…
